Welcome to our Year 3 webpage. This is a place where you can find up to date information about what the children in Moorhens and Swans have been up to, and details of events that might be coming up.

Welcome to Term 5! 

This term we have some very exciting special days planned with H5 and our trip to Bristol - we can't wait for these amazing opportunities. 

Homework will be set on Mondays and Tuesdays (when there is a bank holiday). 

Library visits are on a Wednesday; please ensure your child is supported in taking great care of their book and reminded to bring it in to school on a Wednesday to return or renew it.

Our Reading Records  will continue to be checked on a Thursday so please ensure that your child brings this to school and records of reads at home are added by a Thursday too.

Below you will find an overview of our key learning this term. Where there are knowledge organisers these will details the key vocabulary and learning in that subject.

In Science this term, our big question is 'What is special about magnetic forces?'  We will be discovering all about magnets and the incredible properties they possess. 

In Geography, we are learning all about the human and physical features of our town - Royal Wootton Bassett!  We will be exploring maps of our local area, learning to read grid references and undertaking fieldwork to explore the local area too.
