Clothing with the St Bartholomew’s Primary Academy logo (i.e. sweatshirt, cardigan, polo shirt, PE t-shirt) is available from Monkhouse Schoolwear in Swindon, who also provide a free delivery service to the school during term time.

Navy blue or black tailored trousers / shorts (not grey)
Navy blue or black skirt / pinafore (not grey)
‘Dark Royal Blue’ school sweatshirt / cardigan
White polo shirt

Sensible, dark coloured shoes – not trainers or long boots (ankle boots acceptable); in summer, sandals are acceptable provided they are closed toe sandals, fastened around the ankle (no flipflops / open toes)
Hair should be neat and tidy. Hair styles moderate and kept to a natural colour. Hair styles should reflect the general expectations of a professional school environment and the school’s expectations. For some activities, long hair should be tied back (e.g. for practical lessons or activities).
No extreme haircuts. No unnatural or extreme hair colouring such as shades of red, rainbow colours or dipped ends.
Sensible stud earrings and a wrist watch are acceptable. Please no necklaces, bracelets or hoop / dangly earrings.
Sunhats are recommended for the summer term (protecting your child from the harmful effects of the sun is a priority here. Sun cream is to be administered by parents before school, if required)
PE Clothing
For indoor and summer outdoor activities the children should wear:
Plain navy blue or black shorts
Plain t-shirts (available with logo as above) in child’s School Team colour (Centaur - Red; Dragon - Green; Unicorn - Yellow; Hippogriff - Blue) or plain white
School branded blue hoodie (or alternative pure blue non-branded sports top)
For outdoor games during autumn or spring, all pupils require the items listed above plus:
Plain navy blue or black training bottoms
Plain, warm, navy blue or black sweatshirts or tracksuit tops
Suitable flat soled, lace up (or Velcro) trainers - these should be plain black and ideally non-branded
For safety reasons, earrings should not be worn during PE lessons and long hair should be tied back.
All items of clothing must be clearly named so that in the event of them being mislaid they can be returned to the child.
Any unnamed lost property items will be placed on the lost property rail in school. Children may check this rail themselves or parents may ask at the office if they wish to look through the unnamed items. These items will be put out on display in the playground regularly for parents to look through. Cloakrooms should be cleared at the end of each term and personal belongings should not be left in school during the holiday periods.
Second Hand School Uniform
The Royal Wootton Bassett Local Youth Network (WBLYN) coordinate a free second hand uniform scheme to support any pupils attending local schools.
You are invited to donate any uniform in good condition, by placing it in the collection box in our entrance. This will then be collected by WBLYN, washed, sorted. Please note that they are able to accept trainers and daps but not school shoes.
Available stock is now kept at the school. If you would like to request an item(s), please contact Lorraine Diston who is on the playground Monday to Thursday morning drop off times.
