All Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children are entitled to order a free school meal.
We have our own kitchen on site where meals are freshly prepared to order by our external provider, Edwards and Ward.
There are three daily menu choices - main, vegetarian or jacket potato / baguette. The main course must be pre-ordered online via ParentPay; children may choose their dessert on the day.
Meals must be ordered by midnight on Wednesday before the full week in which the meal is to be served. For information, the current price for a school dinner is £2.30.
If preferred, children may bring a packed lunch from home. Packed lunches should not include any glass containers or fizzy drinks. Please remember to include a spoon if your child brings in yoghurt. Hot liquids are not allowed for safety reasons.
Edwards and Ward coordinate the special diets process, striving to make it as simple and inclusive as possible to help us ensure that all children can be fed safely and effectively.
If your child has dietary requirements due to allergies or medical conditions, or wish request a vegan menu, you must register their requirements using the online form accessed from the website below.
If there are any concerns about this, please contact our Special Diets Team at specialdiets@edwardsandward.co.uk for advice.
Hydration in school
Our school promotes a water-only policy during the school day.
Drinking water helps children stay hydrated, improves concentration, and supports their overall health. Unlike juices or sugary drinks, water does not contribute to tooth decay and in some cases energy spikes and crashes, making it good choice for learning and play.
We understand that a small number of families have approached us to discuss individual circumstances, and we are always happy to work with you where specific needs arise.
Healthy snacks
At breaktime children are welcome to have a healthy snack. As a school we recommended snack choices such as:
Packets of crisps are not a healthy snack.
For the first time in several years, we are not aware of anyone on roll who is at risk of anaphylaxis, including from a nut allergy. This enables us to broaden the snack and sandwich options we permit children to have during the school day.
It is crucial that parents and carers are consistently updating us with any medical / allergy information so we can be proactive in our support.
Children whose parent(s) receive the following support payments should register with Wiltshire Council as they or the school may be eligible for free school meals and other fee remissions or Pupil Premium funding:
