St Bartholomew's is at the heart of the local community, both physically and emotionally. The school has valuable and strong links with a wide and varied range of organisations and agencies which add to the richness and diversity of our school life.
Our choir and musicians are regular guests at community events, taking part in concerts and celebrations at local venues, whilst sport comes to the fore at events such as the inter-schools football tournament.
Charitable work is also very important to us all at St Bartholomew's, and events such as filling shoe boxes, coffee mornings, and non-uniform days have raised substantial amounts for charities including Rotary, Barnardos and Macmillan.
The Christian ethos of our school is reflected in the relationships we have with all our local churches. Our school assemblies are regularly taken by ministers from St Bartholomew's & All Saints Church, and our children play an active part in the major festival celebrations held at St Bartholomew's Church. Pupils are also occasionally involved in events at the Roman Catholic Church and the Methodist Church.
