This week Louise, Alison, Don, Pam and Margaret performed Jesus’ parable of the two sons, Luke and Nathan, from Matthew 21. Their father asks each of them in turn to help him to harvest the grapes in his vineyard. Luke immediately agrees whereas Nathan has things he’d rather be doing so refuses to help. As the story unfolds, Luke then changes his mind and decides he has better things to do while Nathan, feeling guilty, goes off to help his father in the vineyard. The children were invited to think about how this story of the two sons shows us the different ways we can respond to God’s call.
